I’ve walked where you’re walking...
My name is Diana McClaurin, and I’m on the Alzheimers journey with my mom. We diagnosed my mom in October 2012 and moved her into a memory home in October 2022. Like many of you, we have been on the roller coaster of emotions involving stress, tears, hugs, and overwhelm. My frustration with the lack of support about this disease has evolved into my desire to help so many others walking the same road.
With all my heart, I hope to provide answers, guide you to resources, and share the burden. With ideas, options, perspectives, and love, you can walk this path with a sense of peace and purpose and connection. As caregivers, we don’t want to just provide basic needs for our loved ones while trying to live our lives. We want to continue to make memories, share our lives with our families, and provide dignity in a way that honors the life our loved one has lived
